Bardoli : One City, One History

"લક્ષ્મી તો આજે છે અને કાલે નથી. આજે નહીં હોય અને કાલે આવી મળશે" - સરદાર વલ્લભભાઈ પટેલ
Bardoli trip was kind of an eye-opener towards the history that was stored in that city. Bardoli Satyagraha which was taken place in Bardoli has contributed its fair share to the Indian Independence Movement, led by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. At that time farmers had barely enough property which they cannot afford to pay more taxes to the British Government, on that moment with the help of Sardar Patel the satyagraha took place.
 Iron Man of India
One of the main attraction was The Sardar Patel National Museum in Bardoli, the museum displays his life journey through photographs and dioramas. The museum has 20 rooms which take approx 3 to 4 hours to see and to know about the life of  Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The museum was full of information about the Ironman of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a lawyer and political leader, his role was crucial for creating Indian Union by cooperating with 500 princely states to join this Union. The museum has also preserved many artifacts related to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It tells the story of Vallabhhai from his childhood to death. One of the dioramas which made me intrigued, he lost his wife Jhaverben Patel, and that time he was arguing a case before a court. A note came in the court about his wife's demise news, he read it calmly and then folded it in the pocket and continued with his statement. After winning the case he broke the sad news in the court. Many dioramas have stories about his great journey in politics as well as his personal life.

Happy Faces Near Sardar Nivas
This educational trip was a chance to know more about our political leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel . More or less he was a person of discipline who knows what was right and wrong. His life journey has a lot to teach us. We also got a chance to visit Sardar Nivas where he used to live at the time of his Bardoli stay. It was like a time capsule which everyone took a ride . This trip was memorable, it was not only educational but a lifetime experience.
